We are 2 brothers (Demond and Jason) and a wife (Angela). We are very excited to do our first adventure race, especially the canoe portion in beautiful Mobile Bay!!! (You have to learn to canoe sometime, right?)

Bike Zone

Bike Zone - Photo

Bike Zone in Covington, La. has been a huge sponsor and supporter for us. If you need the best in Bikes and or Bike equipment check them out. Our team consists of our team capitan Dalton Fetters, Walker Higgins, and Dustin Branton. We have raced together for several years now. The last two we have finished in 2nd place overall. Last year missing out on first by 4 points. We are prepared this year and hunting for 1st place overall.

Our craziest experience in racing so far has been swimming across true Louisiana Swamps in an attempt to correct a navigational mistake early in the race. We went from 14th place to 3rd in one scary move. Team Motto: "Be Excellent Today"

Our team is made up of 3 Friends from Pensacola, Florida. Mike Elliott(signgator.com), Dean Williams(General Contractor)and Bill Ivey(Iveys Pet Center). We enjoy competing in the G.C.A.R. and it gives us the chance to compete on a regular basis (almost monthly). We would like to thank BIKES PLUS (Pensacola) for there support. Stop in there sometime and see Eric and the guys. Is there a support group for the BIG GUY of the team. If not we need one.

We are from Hattiesburg, MS.

Jason and Shelley own and operate a local furniture store.

Dwayne works as a buyer for Hudson's Salvage.

We now have two races under our belt.

Our goal is to race in at least three of the Gulf Coast Series Races.

We are learning how to race better with each event.

Turn off the TV and jump in!!

The water is fine!!

Folie a Trois

Folie a Trois - Photo

We are team Folie a Trois, formally team 132. We are a very mixed matched team made up of a teacher, Alexandra, a Mechanical Engineer, Kelly, and a Funeral Director, Craig. What we do have in common is our long time friendship and the need to get out there and stay in shape. Last year was our first time to compete in adventure races, and boy was it ever an Adventure! Our first one was NORCO, how crazy was that! We had no idea what we were doing or what we had gotten ourselves into. Craig and I kept saying "this is so much fun!" while Kelly thought we were crazy. Five races later we finished 3rd in the state in the co-ed masters division. We are HOOKED!

Hefner Bunny Pie

Hefner Bunny Pie - Photo

The team of Hefner Bunny Pie is made up of Matt-hew “Hefner” Abbrecht, Paul Engeriser “Bunny”, and Lori Zeringue “Pie”.

We are three fun loving actuaries that work for Pan-American Life in New Orleans.

For those that do not know, actuaries are the stereotypical pencil pushing math nerds that work at insurance companies.

When not participating in adventure races, you can find us playing beach volleyball, running local road races, playing Ultimate Frisbee and competing in triathlons. Our first adventure race was the 2006 Fontainebleau Dusk to Dawn 4 Hour Race.

Participating in our first adventure race at night was a little crazy and a challenge.

We encountered an alligator and fell flat on our faces multiple times.

However, we enjoyed the experience so much that we have been avid adventure racers ever since.

And yes, we know, our jerseys are pink.

Leprechaun Hunters

The legend of the Mobile Leprechaun has sparked the intrest of millions. Appearing in the suburb of Crichton on March 17th, 2006 and dissapearing shortly after. We hope to use the Mobile Adventure Race to lure the Leprechaun out of hiding after his 750 day hibernation (standard for Southern Leprechauns) and catch him off guard and be able to capture his gold. Hunters John, Bill, and Nick have been hunting various mythological creatures for years, such as Big Foot, Mothra, and various Centaurs. None of these previous adventures were sucessfull, but the team as high hopes for Mobile on April 5th!

The Mobile Urban Race was the first adventure race for all of us. We are three independent and competitive minded athletes that had to turn our energy into teamwork for our first adventure race in Mobile. We had a blast and look forward to the next one.

Team C-K

Team C-K - Photo

Team C-K is made up of Keith Nichols, Charla Johnson and Cliff Johnson. They represent one of our main sponsors, C-K Associates, LLC. Keith and Cliff picked up adventure racing in 2003 as Team Ameri-Cans racing all male with whoever was willing to race. Having absolutely no experience, the first year was very interesting. One thing was learned that year; adventure racers enjoy lending experience and help to beginners. Since that year they have raced nearly all the races in the series. Charla and Cliff's thirteen year old son, C.J., has participated in four adventure races, including two night races over the past two years. "We have had the pleasure of introducing several friends and acquaintances to the sport.

Many now say, 'Once you try adventure racing, you are hooked.' We would have to agree."

The Foreigners

Jean Duffer, Nitesh Patel, Jin Seup Lim will be competing to WIN at all times so be prepared.

The Juggernauts

We are the Juggernauts (James, Morgan and Jerry)! This will be our first year to compete in the entire Adventure Racing Series.

We are excited about competing and cannot wait to see what new adventures there are to come.

Three Blind Mice

Three Blind Mice - Photo

We are Three Blind Mice.

Mobile was our first adventure race and we are going to do the entire series this year.

We are looking forward to eventually making it to the finish line in time to actually see the awards ceremony, we hear it is nice. We are from the Baton Rouge area, Jason is from Denham Springs, Joe is from Zachary and Steve lives in Watson.

We all have new born babies, and luckily our wives still allow us to spend time training and doing the races...did I say that?

What I meant was we do not train, we are just allowed to show up on race day.

That is why we are so slow.

We think we may change our team name to "Wait for me!" next year. We are really enjoying the atmosphere of the adventure races and we look forward to completing our first season this year.
